Curriculum

We use a Thematic approach to our students learning. We are developing a more co-construction approach with the students to the deliver the classroom programmes.

Students are learning a range of Languages  which include Spanish, French, German and Te Reo.

Teacher Practice - Languages, Assessment for Learning, Educating Boys, Skills for Adolesence,

Camp and Leisure Education alternate each year.

Lunchtime activities - touch rugby, soccer, ultimate frisbee

Specialist Rotations
Science - student's learning the basic principles of Science in a new science laboratory and a specialist science teacher.

P.E - student's improving their fitness and skills with a specialist physical education teacher.

Music - student's are given the opportunity to experience a range of musical instruments with the specialist teachers in the Music Department.

Art - student's painting with the help of our specialist Art teacher.

Textiles - student's creating a piece of clothing from the Textiles dept

Technology

 Food's - students learning to cook and develop good hygiene practices when handling food.

  Hard Materials - student's working with their teacher designing and making items from wood.
